1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading our app, or using any part of our Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.

Our Services are not intended for users under the age of 13. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use our Services.

2. Description of Services

GlobalFoodClub operates two product surfaces through a unified platform:

2.1 GlobalFoodClub (GFC) — Meals & Nutrition

GFC provides meal logging, nutrition tracking, restaurant discovery, menu scanning, and gamification features. Key capabilities include:

• Instant meal logging with access to a database of 500,000+ dishes
• AI-powered nutrition grading and analysis
• Live menu scanning via camera OCR and QR code recognition
• Healthy restaurant discovery with location-based recommendations
• Personalised nutrition dashboard with macro and micronutrient tracking
• Gamification features including streaks, points, achievements, and leaderboards

2.2 Global Recipe Club (GRC) — Recipes & Meal Planning

GRC provides recipe management, AI-powered video-to-recipe extraction, community recipe sharing, cookbook management, and meal planning. Key capabilities include:

• AI-assisted recipe extraction from supported cooking videos (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
• Personal recipe library with public and private recipe management
• Community recipe browsing, likes, and comments
• Cookbook collections and weekly meal planning
• Shopping list generation from recipes and meal plans

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Subscription Tiers & Billing

Access to certain features requires a paid subscription. We offer three tiers:

Billing: Subscriptions are billed through Google Play Store or PayPal (where available) in accordance with the payment method selected. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Google Play Store. Refunds are governed by the refund policy of the applicable payment processor; we do not provide direct refunds for subscription payments.

Introductory Offers: First-paid conversion bonuses (e.g., extra scans or AI actions for 30 days) are available to former free-tier users only, cannot be combined with other offers, and may be discontinued at any time.

5. AI-Generated Content

Our Services use artificial intelligence (AI) to provide certain features, including:

• Recipe extraction from video URLs (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok)
• AI-assisted image-to-recipe conversion
• Nutrition analysis and estimation for meals and recipes
• Menu scanning via OCR with AI-powered dish identification
• Restaurant and meal recommendations

Important: AI-generated content is marked as experimental and is provided for informational purposes only. AI-extracted recipes should be reviewed and verified by the user before reliance. AI nutrition data is estimated and may not accurately reflect the nutritional content of meals. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.

Video-to-recipe extraction processes publicly available cooking videos at the user's request. The resulting recipe drafts are generated by AI models and may contain inaccuracies. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated recipe before use.

6. Health & Nutrition Disclaimer

MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: The content and information provided through GlobalFoodClub, including nutrition data, meal recommendations, AI-generated recipes, dietary guidance, and health assessments, is for informational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, nutritional requirements, or dietary changes. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read or logged in our app.

If you have or suspect you may have a medical condition, consult a physician immediately. We do not warrant that nutrition information, AI-estimated grades (A–F), or any other health-related data is accurate or appropriate for your individual circumstances.

7. User Content & Community Guidelines

You retain ownership of content you create and share through our Services, including recipes, meal logs, reviews, comments, and photos. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving our Services.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. When using community features, you agree not to:

• Post content that is defamatory, abusive, harassing, or otherwise unlawful
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
• Post content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without consent
• Use automated systems or bots to interact with community features without authorisation

We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or restrict access to community features if a user violates these guidelines.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use our Services for any illegal, unauthorised, or abusive purpose. Specifically, you may not:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
• Use our Services to distribute harmful, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity of our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our Services
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or marks on our platform
• Use automated tools to access or scrape our Services without prior written consent
• Misuse AI extraction features to generate content that infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, subscription tiers, or paywalls

9. Payment Terms

All payments for subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Store (Android) or PayPal. Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, 6-month, or annual) according to the plan you selected.

You authorise us to charge the applicable subscription fee to your chosen payment method. If a payment fails, we may suspend your access to subscription features until the payment is resolved. We do not store your payment card details — all payment processing is handled directly by Google Play or PayPal.

No refunds: Subscription payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device app store settings or our app settings.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, software, and the GlobalFoodClub and Global Recipe Club brand — are owned by Shahisoft and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our platform content without prior written consent. User-submitted recipes marked as public may be viewed and saved by other users; you retain ownership of your submissions but grant other users a limited licence to view and interact with them within the platform.

11. Third-Party Services & Links

Our Services integrate with and depend upon third-party services, each with their own terms and privacy policies:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and app infrastructure. See Firebase Terms and Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps Platform: Restaurant discovery and location features. See Google Terms of Service.
• MiniMax AI: Recipe synthesis, nutrition analysis, and meal tips generation. See MiniMax Terms of Service.
• Google Play: App distribution and in-app payments. See Developer Distribution Agreement.
• PayPal: Alternative payment processing where available. See PayPal User Agreement.

We do not control, endorse, or assume liability for third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and policies.

12. Data Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account and request removal of your personal data at any time through the app settings (Settings → Privacy → Delete Account) or by contacting us at privacy@globalfood.club. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to our Services without prior notice if: (a) you violate these Terms; (b) we believe your account poses a security risk; (c) you engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity; or (d) we are required to do so by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: GlobalFoodClub, Shahisoft, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) our Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

This limitation does not apply to: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) wilful misconduct; or (d) liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that our Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, data, or information provided through our Services, including AI-generated content, nutrition data, recipe content, or user-submitted data.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content is inherently probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. All such content should be independently verified before reliance.

We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GlobalFoodClub, Shahisoft, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your breach of these Terms
• Your misuse of our Services
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Any content or data you submit through our Services
• Your infringement of any third-party rights (including intellectual property rights)

17. Modifications to Terms & Services

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or by email to the address associated with your account.

Your continued use of our Services after any modification indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using our Services and cancel your subscription.

We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or component of our Services at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the foregoing does not affect your rights under applicable consumer protection laws. You may also have the right to resolve disputes through the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.

19. General Provisions

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or guidelines referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and GlobalFoodClub regarding your use of our Services.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
